Sigma's lenses for the E500 should fit without an adapter, as should others
    made for 4/3 cameras.

Fit a Sigma lens for what camera to an E500?

A Sigma lens in Canon FD or AF mount will not be adaptable to an
Olympus. Other Sigma lenses can be adaptable.

Then which Sigma lens? A current one or a 30 year old one?

  6. Sigma manufactures lenses that fit Olympus E-500. If you want to
buy a new Sigma for your Oly, ask your friendly salesperson to
find one with the correct mount (it is called "Four-Thirds").

If you are asking about a spesific Sigma lens in your posession, the
answer depends on what lens this is. Sigma makes a lot of aftermarket
lenses, and some can be fitted to an Oly E-500 with an adapter, others
    can't.
