Canon EF100 f/2 Failure. Looking for advice.

    Looking for advice. My older Canon EF100 f/2 just stopped working.
    Does not autofocus, and body does not work manually. I have had about
    15 Canon lenses over the past 15 years, but never had one fail. This
    is my favorite non-L lens.

    Is this a common failure mode, and any idea what the problem may be?
