Please help me with a query, what are the restrictions on using the various
Canon manual focus lenses with the FT QL SLR? I think (?) that I can use
FD and Breech Lock lenses as well as the older FL lenses? If I can use FD
and Breech Lock lenses will I get open - aperture metering or stopped down ?

AFAIK, the Canon FT QL was designed for use with FL lenses and features
stop-down TTL metering capability only. FD lenses are supposed to be
backward compatible with FL lenses but I don't see how you magically get
full-aperture metering if you fit a FD lens to the camera. I could be
    wrong, though.

    Cheers, Rab.

  3. You can use FD, FL or R lenses, with the FD able to meter at full
open. BTW, that last FD lenses with the brain dead mount, aka A
    series lenses are also FDs.

Make sure the pads on the takup spool are perfectly clean or QLs
    will jam about mid roll.
