Canon G1X blows highlights like Fuji X10

    Check out the latches on the lunch box. The blown areas are sharply-
    defined. Much like the ones on the Fuji. Both cameras have a 2/3"
    sensor. Same one?

    Uh, no. the Canon has a 1.5" sensor, slightly larger than m4/3. I'm no
    scientist, but I'm betting it's not the same sensor as the Fuji.

    Where did you get the idea that the Canon had a 2/3" sensor?

    I don't remember, but thanks, now the pricing on the Canon makes
    sense.

    NP, so now you can worry about a sensor that size actually blowing
    highlights, which is bizzare. I'm not really impressed with the
    samples so far. Maybe the JPG enging stinks (a Canon trademark) and
    you need to shoot raw to get the most out of it.

    I'll stick with my Panny GX1. After several hundred shots I'm
    impressed with it. Not quite the 5D II, but very good.
