Canon hood question

I have a couple hoods for some of my Canon FD lenses that bayonet into
place. A few are looser than others, several very loose. Is there some way
to adjust these hoods to make them more snug?

A bit of black electricians tape over the edge will give it some
stiction. Be careful that it is secure.

Sometimes you can dimple a piece of metal with a pin punch, and get it to
fit more snugly into whatever you are trying to fit it into. You might also
try giving it several coats of lacquer or varnish until you build it up to
make it a bit more snug......

 

A small piece of adhesive tape can also be used to thicken up a worn
surface.
