Canon lenses are more versatile and better than Nikkors!

Discussion in 'Canon' started by Rita Ä Berkowitz, Feb 14, 2007.

  1. It's true! Only Canon lenses can be this versatile in such demanding
situations. I realize now that the Nikkors simply couldn't hold up under
the pressure. Had I known how good L glass is I would have never bought
    Nikkors.

I sent the image link to a few friends of mine and got some amusing
    replies:

"So, that's about, what? $40,000, plus the glass and the wine?"
"It's obvious why they don't have nicer couches."
"My first thought was "What the L"!"

  6. Hah! Yes, an L of a deal. This is amusing, the photo, but "Rita" has
become tiresome in *his* pounding his pud over Canon products.

Note also that the bottle of wine is probably Canonnay (similar to
chardonnay, but blander), though it's very hard to read the label on account
of the shot not having been taken with a Nikkor.

Best served with Canonbert cheese on those little crackers.

  8. As opposed to *your* continued pud-pounding over Rita's gender, John? ;-)

Wonderful! My D70 gave up the ghost, finally, the other day at Disney World.
Probably a few too many typhoons, tropical heat, getting dropped, and general
abuse. If it costs too much to fix it, now I know something I can do with it.

  11. Damn! I'm sorry to hear about the D70. I hope it's an easy and cheap
    repair.

  12. That's the softness of the infamous 16-35/2.8. Hey, it's a great lens since
    some people swear by it.

  14. I'm curious about this: How do you know, or what makes you believe, Rita is
    not really a woman?

  15. I'm not going there, and I wouldn't encourage anyone else to either. And
I'll not respond to any challenge that I can't prove it. No disrespect
    to you.

  19. Such as . . . ?

I'm in and out of newsgroups, often out for long periods of time. I've seen
the claims made before that Rita is not a woman, and she ( ? ) has alluded
to them too. But I haven't seen any of the reasons for the claims. There
must be reasons for people to believe this, I know. I'm just curious as to
    what they are.

You know that you really should be using some of those Canon Circular
Polarizers...they make great coasters in your application!
