Canon software upgrade policy

    In an attempt to obtain an update to the Photo Record software that came
    with my Canon Pro90 I contacted the software developers who created it. It
    turns out this is a company in Australia that appears to do all of Canon's
    software development. Here is the response I got from them:

    PhotoRecord version 2.0 is currently only bundled with selected Canon
    products. If you require further information about PhotoRecord 2.0 please
    contact your local Canon Sales Office.

    What this means to me is the only way to get a software upgrade for a piece
    of Canon software is to copy a newer version from someone you know (or maybe
    don't know.)
