    For Beginners

If you’re a beginner (like me) and looking at point-and-shoot digital cameras, it’s a good rule of thumb to limit your search to brands that have a pre-digital history of quality camera making (ex. Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc) rather than computer companies who got into cameras because of their digital expertise (ex. HP, Panasonic, Casio, etc). Of course, there are exceptions on both sides of the equation, so your mileage may vary.

Each brand has strengths and weaknesses. Canon's video capability is better. Nikon seems to have a better autofocus system, for example. Try both. I prefer Nikon.

I am not a professional photographer but i know that Canon is best among all. This is due to reason because I found always the quality of Canon better than other brand.

That is pure nonsense, specifically because you no doubt haven't tried all the other brands in all the various cameras each brand produces. You're just a Canon fan boy.

There is no difference in quality between Canon or Nikon, they both produce superb cameras and lenses. They both have their respective strengths and weaknesses in the various models they both produce.
