I've been dubbing off rushes onto my PC via firewire without any
difficulties. However, as soon as I plug the camera into my Cambridge
all-region DVD recorder it cannot find the camera. Since my PC has limited
HD capacity, I was hoping that this would provide a means to capture DV
footage using a digital link instead of S-Video.

    Any suggestions gratefully received

    Increase your HDD capacity?!

Why can't you add another HDD, are you out of IDE / SATA headers and
PCI slots or physical space in the case, if so all the above cane be
sorted at reasonable cost - or is there another issue?

  3. Is there room in your computer for another hard drive? This is where
you really WANT the capture to go, isn't it? A 200GB drive is
    surprisingly cheap these days
