Having two 'Modern Classic' SLRs - a Nikon F601(N6006?) and Canon
EOS100(Elan)with a 35-80mm USM lens,I decided to sell the Canon and buy
a Canon EOS 300V(Rebel Ti), sacrificing some build quality for a more
modern and very fully featured camera, thereby having 'a foot in both
    camps'.

I won a bid on Ebay for a 300V(£70/$1260) which has the kit 28-90mm
lens.I am not sure which lens to keep - I have read that the 28-90mm
lens is, while not a great lens, of reasonable quality, but I can't
find any evaluation of the 35-80mm USM lens.

I would be glad to hear from anyone with knowledge of both lenses who
can advise me on which lens to keep.
