When I was a child I had two kittens for sale for $1000 each.
    I traded them fror a $2000 puppy.

  5. Excellent deal, Sir! :)

What's that saying about reality is not all it's cracked up to be?

  6. Heck, I'd even let my Agfa CL30 go for $1599.

    For a mere $1499, I have a real collector's item: a professionally
flooded Nikon Nikonos V. Includes the synch cord that did it in.

The same could be said for the $1599 asking price for a OM 21mm f/2.0.
Two of the three ebay listings are from the same person. And that
    person is asking $99 for a case for a 35mm Shift Lens. That's a C-note
    for a lens CASE.

Someone else is offering the Oly 21mm f/2.0 for $799.

I think the word you're looking for is "hyperbole."
20 hits after you eliminate the duplicate listings. And it doesn't
mean that Canon shooters prefer old Zuiko glass to new Canon glass. It
also doesn't mean former OM shooters abandoned Olympus for Canon.
    Correlation does not imply causation.

The 11 listings for Nikon to Olympus 4/3 Adapters doens't mean that
Olympus DSLR shooters are shunning Oly glass or prefer Nikon lenses.
And the lack of listings for OM-to-Nikon adapters does not mean Nikon
    shooters don't like OM lenses.

Again, correlation does not imply causation.

Observation proves correlation. Peruse the groups where the FF Canon
users who want the best images congregate.
Look for the names, Olympus OM, Zeiss, Leica, Nikon, etc. They don't
have some mindless fealty to any system, they just want good images.

Which is precisely why this classic example is now "asking" a
    stratospheric price. :)

And I might win the lottery.

You're now reduced to pretending "what if" claims are reality. That's
the game of somebody who is desperate.
