Captured Video Plays Too Fast

Discussion in 'Professional Video Production' started by Darkwing Duck, Jan 22, 2004.

  1. I captured a VHS videotape into my Hard Drive via InterVideo WinDVD
Creator. When I watch the video, the first 2 minutes are fine, and then
the video begins to move to fast, even skipping frames. The audio is
distorted and skips as well. If I continue to let the video play in this
manner, my computer reboots. However, I have noticed that if I skip over
this distorted part of the video and go about 1 hour into the video, the
video plays at the normal pace and the audio is back to normal as well.
what is going on, and how can I fix the problem? I don't have the VHS
videotape anymore, and I noticed that every time I tried to capture the
video, it always messed up around the same part of the video. Thank you.
