card reader question, sorry for the cross post

  1. Is there a device that I could download my memory cards to while in the
field that will hold several gigs so i can keep shooting? I am looking for
an alternative to purchasing a laptop. Someone once told me there was such a
device that you simply download your cards, and keep shooting.

    Thanks

    Alone Data Storage

You can also get there starting with the Digital Photography menu
    under accessories.

  3. Thanks all for the help, the Jobo model ($229 for 20gb direct download from
the CF card) seems like it will do the job nicely. It beats the heck out of
    buying a laptop.
