  1. Is there a device that I could download my memory cards to while in the
field that will hold several gigs so i can keep shooting? I am looking for
an alternative to purchasing a laptop. Someone once told me there was such a
device that you simply download your cards, and keep shooting.

  2. B&H Photo list 21 different ones up to 60GB.!1977235354?O=NavBar&A=search&Q=&ci=3369

or follow this menu trail at

Home < Professional Video < General Video Equipment < Computer Video <
Non Linear < Removable Media < Removable Media Drives & Disks < Stand
    Alone Data Storage

You can also get there starting with the Digital Photography menu
    under accessories.

  3. Thanks all for the help, the Jobo model ($229 for 20gb direct download from
the CF card) seems like it will do the job nicely. It beats the heck out of
    buying a laptop.
