Casio Exilim EX-Z1000 Digital Camera

  1. Good day
Has anyone in the group used the new Casio Exilim EX-Z1000 10.1 megapixel
camera? I am looking for a compact to carry around at all times which shoots
decent pictures. I can't seem to find any reviews
    on the net.

    Thanks

I have the prior 7 mp wunder. This is a very good compact camera line and I
would recommend them highly for what they are: pocketable, decent toys. I
love mine but it is just a snapshot camera that more than easily fits in a
    shirt pocket.
    Do not expect miracles.
In truth, because of restrictions in lens design and focusing 10mps is a
marketing and not a photographic issue with these cameras, regardless of
manufacturer, for which a 4mp sensor is a better match to the other
    components.
Iso 3200 and antishake are similarly more useful to marketers than to users
    of these cameras.

    I've got the older, EX-Z750
and think it's an *excellent* camera.

I was recently in a photoshow and many of my shots were taken with that
    camera...
    It's capable of exhibition quality 13" x 19" prints.

It's got great battery life...and it's very easy to bring along with me...
leaving no excuse for not having a camera along!

Though I just do videos for my own use...
the video quality is quite good and I've got a lot of good results in low
    light situations!
