    Hi

Can somone please advise me as to what needs to be done here. I am trying to
create a bootable CD (for local magazine) and the images before and after
cleanups etc look sharp. When I save as Jpeg (I save a copy as PSD also so I
can make any changes) and then view the colours seem to be washed out. Not
bleached as it were but just faded.

Is this because I saved as a Jpeg? The files need to be converted as not
everyone is blessed with Photoshop. Would a different universal format be
preferable? Image Kb size is not necessarily an issue.

    Many thanks

  2. Sounds like the images are in AdobeRGB or some other wide gamut RGB.
When you save them as JPEG and view them with a viewer that does not
support color profiles, they will be opened as sRGB and look washed out.
Convert to SRGB before saving as JPEG and see if that solves the
    problem.

Thanks for that. That has made a difference, but the colour is still paler
than the PS original. Now I have some idea of where to make possible changes
    I will play.

    Many thanks Johan.
