Correct time on the JVC GY-DV5000??

Discussion in 'Professional Video Production' started by legal videographer, Aug 21, 2004.

  1. I am hoping someone can help out with a JVC GY-DV5000 issue. I utilize my
DV5000 mainly for legal videography and having the correct time and date
including the seconds recorded visually is a MUST. I recently noticed that
when the clock on my GY-DV5000 reaches 12:00:00 PM and/or AM it displays the
hour as PM/AM 0:00:00 instead of 12:00:00. I do not have the time configured
to utilize 24hr time, it is set to utilize a 12 hour clock. As you can
imagine my clients would much rather have the time displayed as 12:00 rather
than 0:00. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

1200 only works in conjunction with the 24 hr. time.

  3. GoCycle,

I appriciate your responce. My point may not have been clear in my original

Just like any 12hr (Non-Military 24Hr) clock when the time reaches noon
(Mid-Day), the clock should display 12:00 PM not 0:00 PM.

When it reaches 12:00 PM it turns to 0:00. Un the 24 HR mode it dispalys
    1200 hrs. Go figure..............................

To be specific, it should read 00:00M. M = meridiem = noon.
Sorry, but that's the way Latin works.
