Yeah, I did that before asking, and I actually looked at the links. DID YOU?
No. As usual, you are quick off the cuff with bullshit.

So, answer the question smart guy - what are Widgets in the context in which
I asked (and why isn't in the Photoshop HELP file?)

How much did you pay him to answer your question? Nothing? Then you get
    what you deserve.

This is a group where the learned help the rest. What I asked was a good
question and he didn't do anything but type Google, and you do less than
that. You got an answer? No. You don't. So welcome to the killfile.

  6. I can't find it in my PS CS (International English version). Did you
perchance do beta testing for CS? It really sounds like something that
would be in there for debugging.

You'll need an additional drive in your machine to hold your killfile
if you intend to include all of Mike's aliases.

Or perhaps there is a special plugin in my installation.
    Here's a picture of it.

Just tried on my version of CS and no mention of widgets although all the
other items are mentioned, could it be something included in that PSD image
(is it the same for jpegs etc.,)

It comes up with any image, Harry. Puzzling, isn't it?

I'm just jumping in here. I have PS CS and I have Copernic Search engine
installed. The only reference to "widgets" comes from Homestead's Photosite
AlbumBuilder app. There is a folder in the /data/shared/ sub dirs of the
program that is labeled "widgets". It looks like it has to do with the GUI
for the program. A lot of references to checkboxes, scrollbars, and a bunch
of GIFs. But since this isn't PS CS I'm not sure if this helps, but the
program is a photo based one. Just brain storming, but perhaps if you have a
similar program, maybe the shared folders got mixed in with Adobe's shared
    folders. FWIW,

Nothing at all. You can slide the slider, click the check-box, mess with the
    pop-ups. Nothing happens.

I did a 'command find' on all .DLLs in the Adobe Photoshop CS root and found
the strings "widgets" in the following: FILEINFO.DLL, PDFL60.DLL,
WEBACCESSUTILS.DLL and there is also a reference in Adobe InDesign's root in
WIDGETS.RPLN. I thought perhaps there was a hook to Acrobat 6.0, but there
is no corresponding dialog in there.

If there are hooks into any of these, I haven't found them yet.

    Any clue?

Jumping is good at this point. :) Mine is Wintel-based. Are you on OS-X? I
know OS-X Widgets are something different... or are they?

I just checked a jpg picked at random and that doesn't appear at all.
So I tried a PSD. Still nothing. This is on CS International
    (English).

Only suggestion I can think of is, have you tried running a check for
    Trojans and/or spyware?

Thanks for asking, but no chance of spyware, trojans or virus. The computer
in question is really well locked down. Got everything.

Warren, I will post another picture of the screen when the Widgets option is
clicked. Sorry I was so dim yesterday and misunderstood.
