    hi all,
i'd like to know if there's a way to restore 7.0 behavior about some things
    i canot stand in CS:
    - Sliders: in 7.0, you could click on the arrow (i.e. layer opacity) and
drag the cursone keeping LMB down. fast and smart. Now, you've to click once
to get the slider, then leave the button and reclick to drag the slider. WHY
? It's a stupid thing, it hits my workflow very badly.
    - Linking layers: the mall chain icon near layers was nice and clever, and
workwed pretty good. now, you've to select latyers, then click RMB and
    select "link layers". WHY ?

how can i restore 7.0 behaviors?
Does Adobe know show these are badly designed, or am i the first one whining
    about these ?

You're right! I knew there was something different. Unfortunately, there is
probably no way to improve this behavior.
You can select them and then click the link at the bottom of the layer
You're not the only one, and no one likes having their workflow changed for
no reason. There is probably no choice but to live with it. Adobe has
historically been rather thoughtless about this, and seldom, if ever,
responds to requests to restore old product behavior.

Thank you, now i see it.
That's incredible since it's *stupid*, and Adobe is not stupid.
If users claim something was better before, it means it was better before.
I hate when programmers think they know what we need better than we do.
Hope someone from Adobe reads here.

Pavlov; that name rings a bell.
I do not have CS2, but I understand it has customizable interface/workflows?
Can the behavior in question be changed to more CS like?

Ever hear of too "clever by half"? :) Sometimes smart people are too
smart, and fix things that don't need to be fixed.
No argument from me on that one.
There is a forum at adobe.com where you can make feature requests. It
wouldn't hurt, and might help, to make your concerns known there.

It seems not possible. I wrote on Adobe forum, hope someone from Adobe reads

  7. RTFM! In CS, when you point the mouse to the word "opacity" or "fill",
the mouse arrow changes to a pointing finger with a double arrow. By
clicking and moving the mouse to the left or right, opacity or fill
are changed. The label itself is the slider now. This is actually a
    time saver.
