D2x vs. my D100 ???

I KNOW there are no credible reports out yet on the D2x since it hasn't been
released, but I'd like some ideas/feedback on how much better images the D2x
will produce than my D100 simply because of the new 12mp CMOS sensor.

I KNOW the D2x will clearly outperform my D100 in terms of autofocus,
handling, fps speed, etc since I've used my friend's D2h. It's FAR better
than my D100. And that is important given the sports photography I do.

I'm just curious as to how much better the tonality, resolution, dynamic
range might be with the new sensor.

    TIA---

Wait for samples; nothing to do before that.

  3. I think that the D2H makes better images than the D100, so I think it's
pretty likely that the D2X will too.

You missed the point. The D2h and the D2x have completely different
    sensors...

  5. The sensors are the same DX size, 23.7 x 15.5. The D2H sensor is newer than
the D100. I don't know why the D2H images are better; I suspect the larger
    pixels play a role.
