Damaged negatives

Discussion in 'Photography' started by pascale photography, Sep 19, 2003.

  1. I have somekind of gunk on a negative that is causing white spots on
the developed picture. The lab that did an enlargement for me tried to
remove it with a ilford cloth with no luck. Is there anything else
that can remove the gunk without damaging the negative?

    Thanks

You could try and soak the negs in photoflo. Wipe with a squeege
(bought in camera stores it looks like a big tweezers, but has rubber
    facing).

Then hang the negs to dry.
