    Hello,
I've got some Bogen 3030 tripod heads on order for a custom application
where I need to mount them to a pipe connected to something other than a
tripod. Could anyone tell me the diameter of the "pipe" part of the tripod
that a bogen tripod head clamps to?
    Thanks,

  2. My Bogen 3040 tripod has a center shaft that is 1.175 inches in diameter.
(this shaft has the geared strip running along its length, so it can be
cranked up and down) Attached to the top of this shaft is a flange that is
round and is 2.35 inches in diameter. - I forget how this flange is attached
to the top of the shaft, because my Bogen 3265 ball head is attached to this
flange....The Bogen 3265 head has a flange at its bottom that is just about
    the same diameter.....
