I need a camera that can take basic photos that I can use to post pictures
on E-bay. I would also use this for other family uses but something very
basic and easy to use is very important. A zoom lens would be nice. I would
also use this for some outdoor photography. Small and compact would be
good. I was looking at the Fuji 2600/50 series. Is this a good cameroa for
    these
purposes? Any suggestions before I purchase would be appreciated.
Please copy my e-mail if possible.
    Thanks

  2. It depends on what you're going to be photographing. If the items that
you'll be putting on eBay are fairly small, you might need something with
macro capability in order to be able to photograph reasonably detailed
pictures of stuff. Some cameras come with screw-on close-up lenses, which
are useful for this type of work.
I don't know much about the Fuji 2600 - but it sounds quite good, relatively
simple to use and it does have as macro mode capable of focusing up to 3"
(according to www.extremetech.com). On this basis, it seems like a good
choice. I don't know how it compares up against other cameras in the same
    price range.
