I want to take a digital camera when I go snow camping. How cold much
cold can these cameras withstand? (Going to Mt. Washington in Jan.)

A mere few hours in the freezer is more like Mt. Washington in the Fall. You
might have to seek a physics laboratory to simulate January conditions.
James, you're a much braver and hardier man than I! Best wishes to you.

Don't be surprised if your camera freezes solid and your batteries can't
    stimuate any electrons into motion.
