    Hello again

Today, I tried again to digitize a NTSC VHS Tape, without any success.

I use a standard german PAL VCR. The output signal, when playing the NTSC
    tape
seems to be a PAL signal, but with a vertical frequency of 60Hz.

Any TV is able to sync on this frequency, but the PC TV Card does not.
I get a (colored) picture, but it is not correctly synchronized.

If I switch the input format to NTSC, I get a good, synchronized picture,
    but it is black/white.

Is there any possibility for me to digitize this NTSC tape with my
    equipment?

Thank you very much for your help, it is very important for me to get this
    tape on CD!!

    Regards

    Stefan Moers

P.S.: Software used was VirtualDub, with a Pinancle TV Card and Driver

  2. You need a NTSC or dual-standard VHS playback machine to do this
    correctly.

If the result has to be in PAL then you need a NTSC/PAL converter,
    either software or hardware.

    Harry.
