    I've got a canon zr60 that i have used frequently. I taped a football
game the other night. When I got home to play the video, it ran good
for about 15 minutes, then the video came distorted. Since I knew
that i had been a while since the heads had been cleaned, i cleaned
using a canon head cleaner tape. The video was a little been (it
would run for about 20 minutes before it became distorted). I ran the
head cleaner tape again and it didn't seem to help. I played another
tape and it played without problems. I played the tape (game) in my
friends camcorder and it played almost perfectly.

Since the tape played in my friends camcorder, does this mean that the
video heads are still dirty? How many times in a row can you run the
    cleaning tape?

Also, when you run the cleaning tape, you have to play the tape. Does
this clean the video heads only for playback, or is there something
    different for recording.

sorry if these questions are stupid, but i'm not computer/electronic
    literate.
