  3. yes, one would think he would need anothr battery and alternator to run al
of them. Maybe they are just there for show.

IF they were standard halogens, then the total wattage from the extra spotties
total around 1200 watts, which is around 100 amps current draw. Certainly a huge
    drain on an alternator...

However, if they were HID lights, they would be burning between 420 watts and
540 watts; depending on the variety of HID light. 540 watts is about 45 amps of
current draw. My Landcruiser (79 series) will easily run 6x100 Watt spotties
without overloading the alternator, and would run the spotties for 10-15 minutes
on the stndard battery with the vehicle turned off. I think around 1998 they
started fitting 120 amp alternators to Landcruisers, and I'd be surprised if a
lot of the (slightly) smaller utes didnt go the same path in the past 10 years.

That said, this gent must be afraid of the dark! AND have a budding career as an
auto-electrician! AND be a drug-dealer to fund all the bloody lights!

Also its called lights unprescribed and a traffic offense to have
lights on a vehicle in this arrangement.

NSW and ACT have similar laws and I assume this was taken in the ACT.

Also does not have a front license plate which is visible. The label is
    not NSW.

When were the Summer Nats Pete?
