Do Sony cams die?

Discussion in 'Sony' started by Rene van den Abeelen, Oct 24, 2009.

  1. Some years ago I replaced my DSC F 717 with a new camera. It was not
broken. About a year later I 'rediscoverd' it in my storage room. When I
tried to turn it on nothing happened. I have recharged the battery but
    the machine is dead.

Earlier this year I replaced myCybershot DSC T1. More or less the same
story: it wasnt broken, but when I tried to switch it on a few months
later, it was! It now only produces pictures as if you look at an old
    videotape in fastforward.

What is it with Sony cams? Do they die when not used frequently?

I could not this that why that happen with you.Sony is like a life time product but any how you must check that there might be some reason of failure.I cant believe that original SONY can create such a problem.
