Does Canon Rebel Ti Date Time = EOS 300V Quartz Date

Discussion in 'Canon' started by Paradise News, Aug 3, 2003.

  1. I want a new SLR with an Infra-Red remote. Anyway I live in New Zealand and
we have a camera called the Canon EOS 300V QD (Quartz Date) that looks
pretty good. On the canon.co.nz website I cannot find any mention of a
remote. However, on the US Canon 'Accessory Annex' website it lists an RC-1
    remote:
    http://www.canoncompanystore.com/cg...794&Main=1735&CategorySelected=&Category=1795
This remote is compatible with the Elan 7/7E, Elan II/IIE, Elan, IX, 10S,
Rebel Ti(Date model only). Anyway, I know the 300V QD probably is the same
as the Rebel Ti Date model, but I just wanted to be sure it was identical. I
suppose if worst comes to worst, I can always order an RC-1 from the USA if
    I cannot find one locally.

Yes, they are the same camera - they use the Rebel & Elan names in the
US market and EOS in most other parts of the world.
According to the Canon UK site, the EOS300V QD is definitely listed as
    compatible with the remote RC-1.

Yeah sorry man. I posted the first message without setting up my newsreader
properly - I didn't have my name entered in the reader and I also had my
full 'unspam munged' email address in there too. Anyway, I thought I
'recalled' the message. I mean I clicked delete on my server less than 1min
after I posted the first message. I guess it didn't work.

Don't apologize. A double posting is hardly a sin worthy of a 5 line
apology following the insult that polyhoax dealt out to you.

    Cheers,
    Alan.

Wow, alan. You certainly do not like me very much. I suppose you can't take
    criticism of your photography.
