I have read many posts in this newsgroup about a year ago when people
were having problems with Pinnacle Studio 9. With this new version (I
think it's now version 9.3) of Pinnacle Studio Plus are there still
    software problems ?
I was reading a book called Digital Video and DVD Authoring by Jeff
Sengstack who recommended Pinnacle Studio Plus.

If you look at Pinnacle's webboard you will
see that there are still people having serious problems with Studio 9.
The good new is that Studio 10 is around the corner (early october I
believe) and this version is based on the Liquid Edition core, and Liquid
Edition is as stable as a horse.

Just remember for every one negative post you will find that there is
a 100 positive users. Somehow only the negative make the biggest

FWIW I agree, Pinnacle was a slippery beast to get to grips with at
first, but now it's mostly very well behaved.

My tip of the day with burning DVD movies through Pinnacle is to set
the quality to maximum for an 8.5gb DVD, save to hard disk then use
DVDshrink to compress and burn to 4.7gb disk - works for me.
