    pay attention george,
it was your childish behavior we were talking about.

sigma is an amateur camera. not up to professional standards.
repeating untruths and mistakes does not make you right.
    wrong, oh bewildered one.

    jpeg,
    or tiff
    or raw.
only after the fixeruppersoftware makes them.

  3. I feel very sorry for your clients.

Actually thats not true. I don't believe you have clients. I believe you are
    in fact unemployed and unemployable.

  4. No. if you upload downsized images, it is because they fit on peoples
monitors and take up less space so you can post more pictures.

If you post full sized images, you clearly either want your work stolen or
are a compulsive measurebator withc a complex about your equipment.

  5. Oh really, did I write software to do that? When did I do that? must have
been in my sleep. Or was it before the on set of amnesia?

  7. Or, because full sized 10D pics are embarrassing.

  8. What size monitor do you have?

But from a marketing standpoint, it has probably sold more SDs than
would otherwise be sold. Most people don't know the difference between
    real sharpness and artificial sharpness.

  10. You're right, but then I'd rather call it a sales standpoint instead of
marketing standpoint. It is bad for longer term relations, it helps getting
    through the committed stock.

Snicker. When they take out useful features and produce so-so quality
it makes it a "professional" camera.
And it's not like any _professional_ photographers work for
    newspapers.
You don't live in the real world, do you?
Photoshop is neither slow nor weak. Granted, your experience with RAW
conversion software probably does lead to you believe that most such
    software is crap.

They're called "thumbnails". You click on them to see a bigger
    version.

    Sheesh.

"How come they are all so tiny?"

    Hello

What are we supposed to conclude from these images?

    Hello

    Blimey what nonsense!
If this is what all Bayer proponents believe, they have already lost the
argument. I am sure that they do not.

    Hello

What is one to make of this image or any others on that collection.

    http://www.pbase.com/image/23727031

I think that it is very unfair to post these links.
Most of the images from both Sigma Canon are just family type snapshots.

    In message <>,
Looks like a juvenile Cooper's Hawk or a Sharp-shinned Hawk; they look
very similar perched. When they fly it's easier to tell the difference,
    as the Sharp-shinned takes 3 or four really quick flaps and then glides;
the Cooper's Hawk flaps its wings more calmly and slowly.

Oh yeah, the "original" resolution shows extreme JPEG compression/
I have no idea what your point is.

    Hello

The point is that it does no favours to the camera the Canon 10d, or to
the photographer to put up links like these.

    That George is an idiot.

    Isn't it obvious?

  19. The actual "Cooper Hawk" images are among the worst Bayer image examples
I've seen. And that is really saying something. Artifacts are so intense
even 5x7 prints would be out of the question.

So, show us your Cooper hawk pictures then.

    We're waiting....
