I posted asking why there was no "pixel density" figure for the new
50D posted, Dpreview made a big deal of coming up with this as a
standard figure included in the specifications table. So, now Canon
releases a 15 megapixel camera, all of a sudden, they don't post the
figure because (IMO) they have implied that greater density = bad.
So guess what? The pulled the thread! CANON WHORES! They had NO
problem using this in Nikon, Olympus, Sony or Pentax spec tables.
Could they BE any more transparent??

They list pixel density in their database "features search" and the 50d
    isn't in it yet.
You've jumped the gun. If you called them "canon whores" in your
thread, then I'm not surprised that DPReview pulled the thread.

No, I simply asked why they hadn't mentioned the pixel density.
    No invective, until now.

Despite knowing what you do about DPreview, you still use them for your
source of information. Face it Rich... Whores they may be but like most
    whores, they're irresistible to you.

What I meant to say was: Anyone unhappy with Dpreview get your money
    back.

Why is Dpreview forcing people their reviews on them?

But I've never made a buying decision based on what they've said, so
they haven't profited from me in that sense, except as a minor blip in
the traffic they get to the site.

They aren't, but just like deriding a supermarket tabloid, you can
still form an opinion of their actions and voice it. Darn that
    democracy.

    Perhaps your reputation preceded you?
Anyway, I think you're wrong to suspect that no pixel density stated on
the hands-on preview specification is out of the ordinary. I'm sure it
will appear when they've got the camera in their database.
OTOH, I'm pretty sure that the significance of pixel size / density,
particularly with DPReview's lack of presenting any serious comparative
data on overall sensor performance, will lead to the usual raft of
claims about too many pixels etc.
I'll start it off if you like - at 100% view, 50d iso400 sample photos
seem quite noisy and soft (compared to D300, let alone 40d). At a
standard (large) print size, who knows?

Because smart people are able to calculate it.
    No they didn't.
Your opinion really isn't worth anything given your blatant biases.
In fact, I don't see the number for the Nikon D90 so it's pretty
obvious that you're just some bigot trolling for attention.

  13. I've never read anything from people using obvious pseudonyms
trashing some company or product that made them look even
    slightly credible.
