Because their (Dp's) major market is a North American audience. They
did put up a group of shots taken by Phil Askey from a Japan trip and
they pretty much confirm that the camera has good resolution, produces
sharp images with good colour, but can't match the other 10 megs out
there in terms of higher ISO noise supression. The noise at 800 ISO
actually looks kind of odd. Whereas the new 10 megapixel cameras
(especially the Canon) are producing very nice grain-like noise, the
Olympus produces a patterned kind of noise that does not look the same.
As with the Nikon D200, it's noise is black, very little colour and
    "clumpy."
