This is under OS X 10.4.11. Trying to scan Kodachrome 25 slides.

I am having some difficulty finding the best software to drive this
scanner so any comments would be appreciated:

    1) Using the allegedly latest CyberView driver at the scanace site,
gives some funny results, with some slides scanned fine, others with
excessive blue on them. One in particular, a mountain shot with
brilliant blue sky, gets a faint diagonal red band across the sky.

    2) ScanVue - appears to scan fine, and initially the colour balance
looks good. Then at the last minute, nanoseconds after the scan is
complete, it decides to apply some blasted colour profile which gives a
    turquoise bias to the image.

    3) SilverFast - only started trying this last night, so am probably not
driving it right. On the same mountain shot, I ended up with a decent
image after reducing the red to -10, and cranking up the brightness of
all three colours (did this in GraphicConverter).

All in all a bit frustrating.

How about Vusescan? Looks like it need a 3rd part app. called
'cyberview X' but the Microtek is supported.

Sorry that was my option (2) above.

In the end I purchased SilverFast.
