DTTL / Kodak 14N Question

Discussion in 'Kodak' started by Bruce Hendricks, Jul 29, 2003.

  1. I'm in the process of ordering a Kodak 14N. The latest firmware and software
    upgrades sold me.

Unfortunately, I can not get my Nikon SB26's speedlights converted to DTTL
from regular TTL. The tests I've done using the SB26's in plain TTL mode
have been very good, but I don't think it would be reliable 100% of the
time - at least I don't want to trust it. In for a penny, in for a pound I
guess. I'm still going to keep my 26's, seeing that they have the built in
slave function and are really one of the better flashes Nikon has ever made.

Has anyone had any experience with using the SB28DX or the SB80DX with the
Kodak 14N? Nikon refuses to answer any questions in relation to their
flashes working with a Kodak product (gee, it's only their body and lenses
Kodak uses, why would Nikon know anything? LOL).

Also, does anyone have any experience with a third party DTTL flash with the
Kodak 14N that also works with the Nikon SC-17 cord?

Any information on DTTL flash units with the Kodak 14N would be greatly
    appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Bruce
