    Greetings,

I am having trouble capturing a continuous AVI from my DV tape. The source
tape changes from one video source to another and as a result, the audio is
interrupted for less than a second. The result when capturing MS DV-AVI
through Windows Movie Maker is that the AVI file is complete but the audio
track is lost after the video source changed on tape. Taking the same tape
to Adobe Premiere, I lose both the audio AND video info after the the video
source changed on tape. Has anyone else szeen this behavior capturing via
firewire. I'm using a SONY DSR-11 deck with mini-DV tape on Windows XP.

Did the source you recorded from really change or is it just multiple
starts on the same tape? Guess you know DV does not lock the video and
audio together. Have you triec capturing to something other than avi?
Can't Premiere store DV in some other format?

Not to start a flame war, but I would like to try capturing it using my
    new DSR-11 and FCP4.01.
