Are there any decent IDE DVD burners in the $200 price range? If so,
which would be the best for me? I am going to be burning DVDs from
both VHS tape copies and DV transfers. In order, my priorities are:

    1) Works with inexpensive blank DVDs
    2) Support for both DVD+ and DVD-
    3) Speed
    4) Reliability

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

TigerDirect has one for $100 after a $20 rebate.

Those priorities sound like basic needs everyone wants in a dvd burner.
And they are all just about under $200 now, or soon will be.
Even the highest priced sony with its 8meg memory buffer and 4x multiformat
functions etc. is going only for about $249 now after selling for about $349
    for quite awhile.
The Pioneer AO6 is also $249 now, and cheaper if you get the OEM version
with no software package, check out www.newegg.com for that, or
www.videoguys.com if you want the full version with a bunch of 4x blanks
    also for only $249.

There are so many models, all do what you want, some do it at 4x and the
cheaper ones at only 2x speed, but most are multi-format and at least 2x
    speed which is good also.
Tiger direct has a few really cheap ones at about $100-$120 that are also
    Good Luck,
