  1. Ran across his site, offering repair curricula and tools. Looks
interesting! How is he/his stuff regarded?

    Thanks,

Run a Google Group Search on Ed Romney. You should get about 4,940 posts.

He has been called the Saint of Old Cameras
He has been called "Captain Copier" by the companies he copied manuals from
    and sold as his own.

He was probably called several names by Bob Shell of Shutterbug who is in
deep ca-ca himself. (death of one of his nude models because of drugs)

He wrote for Shutterbug where he was asked to leave which started a war in
the industry because of his beliefs. Simply put, he would not be working
for B&H or Adorama under any circumstance.

He was considered (by his own posts) very bigoted, anti-semetic, and he let
you know where he stood. (Nurenberg)
His tools can be bought on line at Micro-tools, in some cases better
quality. Factory Manuals can be bought there too. Real Factory Manuals,

Ed's copies were on the older cameras. His manuals are copied and sold on
the web at EBAY (Copies of copies really makes me laugh)
How do you know what's an original copy or a copy of a copy of a copy? He
was controversial to say the least.

    He died recently. RIP.......
