    A friend took a video clip with her Fuji 6000fd and wants to cut off a
    few seconds at the end. Is there a program that will allow her to do
    this?

    There is and it is free and it's called VirtualDub you can get it at;
    http://www.virtualdub.org/index

    You may need to get some codecs so that the program can read your vid file
    go to;
    http://www.freewaregenius.com/
    Or
    http://www.codec-download.com/modules.php?name=Downloads

    You can also record through any cam connected to your computer.
