Exact running time for PBS documentaries?

Discussion in 'Professional Video Production' started by Movie Research, Dec 9, 2004.

  1. Can anyone supply the current exact running time for PBS documentaries
and cable/network documentaries that run in a one-hour slot?

If you have exact breakdowns for title/lead-in/breaks/end-titles,
    that would be appreciated, too.

I'm working on a 24-part series for local cable. I'm editing
them black-to-black 58:30:00 as requested by one of the
potential users, an international satellite channel.

  4. Contact PBS and they will send you a Producer's Guide with all the details. I
believe it is on-line on their web site also. I'll try to find it and post it
    here.
