exposed film

  1. i accidentally opened my camera during midroll...is the whole roll
    ruined or only the 2nd half?

    I did that once, and I salvaged most of the photos.

    Depends on the ambiant light. Were you indoors or outside in the sun ?

    Also depends on what type of camera you use. My EOS winds all the film out,
    then winds it back in as you take shots, so if I open the back i will
    hopefully only lose 1 shot and blank film.

    Most likely whatever was already exposed is gone. Best bet, throw the
    roll away and start over.

  6. No! Don't throw it away... It is possible that perhaps just two frames will
    be effected. If you opened and shut the back quckly... Get it developed and
    you will probably save most of the images. It also depends a lot on the
    images and if they are irreplaceble. If you can re-shoot the subject it's
    not a big loss. If you can't, save what comes back and hope for the best.
