F90X vertical grip stuck.. help!

Discussion in '35mm Cameras' started by Bas v.d. Wiel, Apr 1, 2005.

  1. Hi all,
I have a Nikon F90X/N90X with an MB10 vertical grip. Problem is, the grip
is screwed in too tightly for me to get it loose. The screw wheel also
sinks slightly into the body of the whole assembly, so I can't get to it
with any of the tools I own. Does anyone have any tips on how I can get
this grip off the camera again without damaging anything?

    Thanks

    Bas

  3. Wouldn't that make the wheel all slippery too?

  4. yes, you could use a screwdriver and place it on a knot in the wheel and
    hammer at it.

if its that tight, hammering at the wheel would be your last resort.

Yeah, like the method you resort to after a competent professional has had a
look at it and told you it's never coming off.
