    Dear All,

I am on the verge of buying the Konica Minolta DiMAGE Scan Elite 5400 II
    film scanner.

The objective is to digitise 4 years worth of 35mm negatives and to
update my digital photograph archive (which was initially built up using
a Nikon Coolscan III - now unusable as a result of my move to MAC / OSX).

Any final comments / warnings / encouragements much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Ken

PS : I suspect I know the answer to this one - but has anyone ever seen
photograph / image management software that can provide a map /
geographical interface to the photos ?

  2. The Coolscan III is a SCSI interface.

Which Mac did you purchase that you cannot add SCSI to?

  3. I found both USB and Firewire SCSI Adapters for the Mac with a Google
    search.

Nikon only supports the Coolscan III up to OS 9.2.x. It is not supported
    for OS X.
