    Hello,

well, my scanner is sort of messed up and I'm looking for a new one. However, I
don't know what would be best: a cheap film scanner (lets say, the cheapest I
can get, limited budget ;)) or a flatbed scanner (about 250$). I would scan
negatives with the film scanner, 10x15cm photos with the flatbed.
Will a cheap film scanner give better results than a mid range flatbed?
Ow yeah, the scanner should work under linux, anyone knows good scanners that
are still for sale and work under linux (no need for vendor support, as long as
    they work).

    Thanks in advance,

    Jan
