Good is in the eye of the beholder. However, I am submitting one for the
    SI for consideration.

Tricks, are setup manual focus, f-aperture not too big, and adeguate
mix of exposure time/iso sensitivity, and a tripod.

If you using compact camera, I suggest you use the "fireworks" scene
and a tripod. And good luck!

OK, what the heck, here's mine.

I wasn't planning to go this year. But with about a half hour before
the start, hopped in the car and headed downtown. Got there just as
they started. I figured I was too late to find a place to set up a
tripod in the usual good spots, so I grabbed the 14mm f/2.8 and
decided to get some hand-held shots, and include spectators as well.

Yeah, I know, they look a little eerie. Maybe next year I'll go back
to the traditional method with a tripod and long exposures and all.

  6. So where are your pictures?
    None archived.
Here is summer time, I hope I'll be able to go pick new ones soon.
If that happens, I'll post here a d/l link. Hope provide you something
    decent ;)
