Does anyone know of a flash that will work with this camera other than the
Olympus or Metz flash? I really don't want to spend that much on a flash
that I won't use that much, but I still would like a decent flash unit. Any
    help will be greatly appreciated.

I bought a little GN32 Metz flash with the required voltage limit for
about $60 new, last year. How cheap do you want to go?

  3. Please define "work", "that much", and "decent"... OK, more
seriously, I assume you mean "will work with full TTL automation", since
you mentioned Olympus and Metz. The only other one I know of is the
Vivitar DF-383, which seems to be very new; nobody seems to have a
review of it or much of an opinion. Judging from the published specs,
performance will be somewhere between the FL-36 and the FL-50, with a
price substantially lower than the FL-36. It takes 4 AA batteries, so
recycle time should be pretty decent, although that's just a guess.
I've been somewhat tempted to try it, myself.

However, you may get along just fine with a good old thyristor flash
    - they're cheap and there's a huge selection.

  4. I'm late to this thread, sorry. The Promaster 7500EDF is another to add to
the list. It works with full TTL automation and has a nifty little fill
flash in the front in addition to the bounce flash. It looks like a
    Vivatar-made unit to me.
