    Hi folks,

Can someone recommend a cheap flash for a Minolta Maxxum 2xi? Also,
pointers on the best place to buy it will be greatly appreciated.

Is there such a thing as a 2xi?

If there is, a 3500xi, 2000 or 2500 would probably be a good bet.

  3. Can someone recommend a cheap flash for a Minolta Maxxum 2xi? Also,
As I've said many times here before, I highly recommend Sunpak
flashes, which are not TTL, but rather use an electronic eye on the
flash to measure exposure. They are inexpensive, high power, and
    relatively small.

I;ve had a Sunpak 544 for years and can recommend it as the
most versatile I've ever used. It's a little heavy but w/ a GN of 140,
that's to be expected. It also goes down in 1 stop increments to 1/64 which
is more of a range than anyone would use. And it can be dedicated for most
    cameras. Bob Hickey
