I realize this goes from the sublime to the ridiculous, but does anyone know
how to get the glass out of an old HP 3400c? It's starting to get cloudy,
and I cant figure how to get it out.

  2. On the edges of the platern are 4 chrome 'buttons'. Under them are phillips
head screws. Whatever you do, DO NOT MOVE THE SCAN HEAD.

Nope, no buttons on this one. Maybe the U.S. ones are made different Thanx
    anyway. Bob Hickey

Mine's a little foggy, too. Doesn't seem to effect the scans, that I can
see, and anything I scan on there isn't going to be photographically
    archival, anyways.

Yeah, but that's it. I don't know if it has any effect or not. Prolly not,
but maybe it does. I'd be crushed.
