Focusing problem Sigma EX 2,8/105 Macro

Discussion in '35mm Cameras' started by Thomas Glaser, Nov 6, 2003.

  1. I use this lens with Canon Elan (in Europe EOS 50 E).Optically
great, but in any modus (eye controlled or manual AF,at any
illumination and contrast conditions the micromotor is not gripping
into the inner lens group and is unable to lock in.This is fully
unpredictable, after some (sometimes many)focussing attempts works the
autofocus perfectly.Manual focussing is perfectly smooth. Here in
Germany has Sigma monopoly on the repair of the Sigma products, repair
    price seems gonna be spicy.
Has someone experienced the same problem?
    I´ll appreciate Your answers.
