? for Panasonic NV-MX500, Sony DCR-TRV950/900, DCR-HC1000 owners

    I'm considering getting a 3CCD cam but need to be certain that video pass
    through to a PC is available from the DV out on these and similar models. I
    need to use a cam rostrum-style - without recording in-camera - capturing
    the video direct to disk on a PC via Firewire cable. Can any owners (or
    those familiar with these kind of models) confirm or deny this capability on
    their cams. Apparently some cams do and some cams don't - reviewers never
    seem to cover this aspect.

    Thanks Harry. I couldn't find the process mentioned explicitly anywhere in
    the reviews of camcorders I was interested in and didn't want to 'mortgage
    the house' for something fancy only to find it couldn't do what I needed.
