Taken 7 years ago with my first digital, a Fuji Finepix 2600Z, 2-megapixel,
point and shoot camera. Taken on the first day of testing what it could and
could not do, as a test shot.

Not only is it easy, anyone can take photos like this with *any* camera.
Children can take images like this with any camera.

You need some serious help in learning how to discern good photography from
throw-aways. This one I posted is way below average in my book. As I said, it
was a test shot. Don't ask to see my good stuff, you have to pay for that
    privilege.

Let's hope the good ones leave out the JPG artifacts and the over-
    sharpening halos.

"Don't ask to see my good stuff, you have to pay for that privilege."

Spoken like a true arrogant narcissist who uses the phrase "you have
to pay for that priviledge" to hide the fact he's scared of hearing
    the truth.

No more difficult than catching this day-flying moth in flight, they fly even
more erratically than dragonflies which often hover in one spot like
easy-to-frame hummingbirds. I even used more magnification than you used. This
moth's body is only about 1 inch long. Also using a point and shoot camera with
    a macro-lens attached.

Don't bother trying to play a one-upmanship game with me, you'll lose, every
    time, big time.

Your beginner's level of photography bores me. You bore me. The capabilities of
your camera bores me. Your trolling tactics bore me. Couldn't you have at least
cleaned up that nasty sensor noise in that image?

What a loser with a loser camera.

If your critique of photography is some kind of truth, I'd rather hear lies than
that useless photography opinion of yours.

All that you've managed to do is make than Annika guy a public laughingstock by
building up his false ego and making him think he's any kind of photographer.

Shame on you for doing that to someone you supposedly like. Now you both look
like complete fools. Him the worse for it. He has to live with the fact that he
cluttered up the internet with his crap photography as public proof of his lack
of skill and talent. While you can just hang your head in shame and continue to
be as stupid as you you've proved to be.

Oh yeah, hotshot? Let's see some of your macro photos of fireflies in
flight taken at least lifesize (1x).

Hell, let's see ANY of your macro photos, Mr. All Talk!

The truth hurts, and it sure hurts you.
FYI, I have asked Bret time and time again to let me know if my
comments hurt him in any way, because if it did I would restrict my
comments to personal emails to him. He has told me time and time
    again to ignore them.
There is nothing to be ashamed about when all I have said is the
honest truth, that comes from my heart. I feel he's the best
photographer on the newsgroups. If that is so hard for you to take
then for God's sake ignore me, killfile me or better yet go away.
It's people like you who dis Bret with these words, and I quote:
"below-mediocre, isn't even a worthwhile image to view or keep, most
I've seen by beginners on cheap cameras are a far sight better than
this badly done crap, children can take images like this with any
camera." end of quote, that should hang your head in shame for dissing
a devoted, highly skilled and knowledgeable professional photographer.

Another blurry crap-shoot shot, not even framed right. I hit delete on those as
soon as I see them, they're my occasional accidents. And yet you go and make a
world-wide public spectacle of yourself by trying to make anyone think they are
worth viewing. Go get attention from that brain-dead applause-factory of yours.
You and all of your photography are nothing but boring and a total waste of
anyone's time. I don't help beginners like you try to get better. I wait until
someone can at least grasp the fundamentals of photography and how to properly
    use any camera.

What you say may be true Helen but more likely he's seen what Bret is
capable of and erred on the side of caution.

After all, a picture of a dragon fly has got to be worth what? About $5
    max?.

We couldn't have such valuable photos floating around the Internet with
pinocchio noses pasted on them now, could we?

Next he'll be telling us his anonomouse account wasn't working (more
likely cancelled) so he had to use the Italian server at aioe.org. He
wasn't really trying to hide his identity, just who he is! ROTFL.
